Curiosity - polarized opinions on Glocks?

my $0.02 = I simply want to own a steel gun, I could shoot excellent with a Glock and it would still not intrigue me to buy one. I like steel and that is enough of a reason for me to spend my money on something other than a Glock.

That's my opinion, I'm sure there are many out there like me as well.

I've shot Glocks and they're not bad but they're not for me I find they just don't have the "feel" I like.

I don't really have any preference for steel, polymer, or whatever. If it shoots well, it shoots well. If it looks like ass, oh well.

i seem to like the 'utility' philosophy of the glock- the notion that because it doesn't have a beautiful glossy blue (or shiny steel) finish, i won't be hypercautious using it. i have a blued hi-power, and i'm still grieving over the slide scratch that happened during field stripping.

Shoot different firearms and make your own opinion. Glocks are very reliable.
