Curious about the Wilson Combat 870s - especially the Border Patrol

Love a good quality shotgun. Have an 870 Police walnut and a 590A1. Both of those were under 750 when I got them (hell the 590A1 was 500 BNIB off the EE).

But the Border Patrol just seems cool. I wonder how much they would go for with our pitiful dollar now.

If anybody has owned one, what do they cost and are they worth it?
 
a lot of naysayers will tell you that you can get something custom, like from Tactical Ordnance for a lot cheaper and to your own specs...regardless of whether that is true, i wanted something with "SCATTERGUN TECHNOLOGIES" on the receiver so i ponied up for one...it took almost a year to get it from the time of order so i paid less than they were selling for at the time as i locked in on a good price.

If ya got the money go for it. Good quality for the most part but pretty pricy for a gun that doesnt even have a decent recoil pad!
 
I made my pump gun based on a cheap HP9-1 (Marstar) that I first tested for reliability.

It passed with flying colours so I then had Rustywood install Winchokes (I run it with a Modified) and Wilson sights with tritium. I also added a Wilson +1 mag extension and sling loop, Wilson follower and mag spring, Surefire forend with a 300 lumen Malkoff upgrade, Knoxx Specops recoil reducing stock, a good (can't remember brand) 7 round, adjustable tension side saddle and a wide Vism 2 point sling.

It is small, short and RELIABLE and it is my go to, house, camp, truck shotgun.

All in it probably cost me $1100.

They're nice, but I'd rather haves me a Vang Comp offering if I was going to buy a "tuner" 870, its too bad that they aren't readily available in Canada...oh wait, isn't Tac Ord a Vang affiliate!?...

The Fabarm STF-12 and factory custom Ithaca 37 are also worth a look if you're going to spend that kind of money.
 
Most folks don't know this exists, but one of these with either a rail and dot, or a set of Wilson sights would be my choice

The Ngh####ch or the Versa Max Pro! Both the Tactical Ordnance models look awesome!
