Current Chiappa quality

Personally, I would chance it. Every example has been disappointing. They make them to look good in ads.

Taylor’s chrome ridge runner take down. I know they were questionable years ago. Current ones any better?
No!

I had more warranty issues with Chiappa while running my gun shop than any other firearm manufacturer. I sold approximately 1300-1400 guns per year.

Stay away from the Chiappa brand.....:(

Warranty wait times were over a year, in some cases two years. beautiful guns, but poor customer service and support!

I have an Alaskan 1892 with the 12" barrel in 357. It's not as nice as my Winchester, but I haven't had any issues with it. Have about 2,000 rounds though it, it's not much but I haven't had any problems with it.

Not sure if the Taylors get more love than regular Chiappas, but I really like my Alaskan.

I have seen the Taylor versions of this rifle, they are very nice indeed.

And the few Chiappas that actually worked, were also kind of nice.

The problem is shelling out close to $2000.00, one would expect all of these models to work. What a concept, right?

The ones that work, are nice.

Pays your money and take your chances folks!......:)
