Not an expert, but like anything condition is of primary importance. And obviously finding an interested and motivated buyer.

I had a reblued one original stock, the guy i bought it off asked 1500 as did i. Their was one on the ee for 6000

Be very careful with the provenance of a 97 trench gun, there are many "rebuilt copies" being sold to unsuspecting collectors by folks trying to cash in on the "internet popularity" and it's subsequent surge in pricing.
 
Here is a pic. It is all original, and definitely not a fake. Purchased it maybe 15years ago from a batch gobles got in.

Any cartouches on the stock ?? Assuming the barrel also has the "flaming bomb" proof mark id would start it between 1500-1800 if your trying to move it fast.

Im guessing its been reblued , these guns seen alot of jungles they rarely look so good.
 
a lot of the gun gobbles got in were rode hard and put away wet I bought 2 think it was closer to 20 years then 15 but whatever mine functioned fine but wood was well used and metal has been reblued at some point I don't recall stock markings if any think they were $299.99 or $399.99 ? anyone had the ad still? I traded mine for a AKM
