Current pricing on an HK91????

Inquiring for a friend. In light of recent law changes, he is tossing around the idea of selling his. Anyone have any ideas of a current fair value. I shot it a bit last year, and as I recall it is in pretty good shape.

They seem to go for around $1000 but I'm not sure if they sell at that price. I might pay $400 for one.

If you see the 12(x) saga fall away you would see the prices go up because for the most part you cannot get them anymore. However, if I were your friend I would not sell it as $500-600 < pleasure of owning a HK91.

I agree, the cool factoe of having a paperweight aka-HK91 is worth more than 5-600 bucks!!!!!

The fact that they cannot be shot has little to do with the value among the advanced collectors, we have sold these fine rifles from $750.00 to $1500.00, as with anything the people who can and do buy them set the price. If my 12(5) was not in dispute I would pay $1500.00 whether I could shoot it or not.JMHO.

$400-$500 for a 91, even as a paper weight your friend would be robbed IMHO. He would get more money to butcher it and sell it deactivated. Have you seen what people are paying to buy deactivated paperweights?
