Hi guys, new to this. Need a bit of help finding a beautiful pair of custom 1911. Found some great websites but im not quite comfortable with ordering on line or knowing exactly what i want yet. Was wondering if anyone has any advice on where to go(YEG) or what to look for.

You can talk to Wanstalls or Epps if you want some nice semi-custom 1911s (Wilson Combat, Nighthawk Custom, Ed Brown, Les Baer, etc). They will all pretty much do anything you want to a 1911 (at a nice hefty price). Wilson, Nighthawk and Ed Brown, all have a years waitlist right now, so... that might take some time.
A more local approach would be to talk to Dlask. Always good to know what exactly you want in your 1911 before you ask so they can price it for you.

The time and money i am prepared for. i was on nighthawks site and liked alot of their work.
The reason i ask is I was watching Wanted the other night with the wife and she mentioned "i know we have alot of guns but id really like a custom 1911 like 'that'". It reminded me how awsome she is so i figured id get the process started for her birthday present.

Ya thats what she was refering to, the pic looks exactly what she would want. Naturally i have to agree it is beautiful. I am quite blessed to have a wife whose gun spending exceeds my own and i have to be the voice of reason. lol.
