Custom .257 Roberts

Got this rifle for some work I did, not sure what the value. I was told its a Mauser action with a Douglas barrel and a ten power scope, it was put together in the early 90's. I brought it to the range, it shot fine, buts just not my cup of tea. Any help on its value would be a great help.

I really don't know what it is worth, but it is totally old school cool!

I love the caliber, the stock looks well done and tasteful, great vintage glass to go along with....

the mauser action looks like it was donated by a parker hale rifle and so does the trigger guard/ floor plate. The stock looks good. Nice rifle.

Good looking gun for sure .. I have one with a douglas barrel also .. I do not know the value of it either .. But I like it a lot .

Your rifle is a basic commercial 98 with a Weaver T10............$400 +/- a bit maybe.

Is it just the pic or does the wood look a funny colour? Need more comprehensive pics.

but, what kind of "work" did he do for it? His time has be worth at least min wage, but I'm guessing more.
