Custom Barrel Makers

What do you mean by custom?

There is JC custom barrels, not sure what his wait time is like now or if he offers what your looking for.
 
by custom do you mean custom contoured, chambered and threaded or do you mean a barrel blank bored and rifled to your particular choice of diameter and rifling pitch?

I just had a tapered octagon made for an 1873 Springfield Trapdoor

K&S Rifled the blank and sent it to PR Precision for the contour, chambering, threading, extractor cut, crown and headspacing.

Never got to see Mike's work before Paul got his hands on it ... but it's more than spectacular. about 2 months total turnaround. pretty happy with that too!

they probably don't want to do it because at least for contouring, they would have to set up their machinery differently just for one barrel. The custom contouring implies that such a contour is not part of their regular product line. Threading should not be a major problem assuming the purchaser was able to then correctly headspace the barrel presuming that the threads were a trifle long to allow for final fitting. Related is that a finish chambering implies the threads were already a match for the individual gun

AH Ha! Theeeeeeres the Problem ! Type 81 Chinese assault rifle - I VERY much doubt Mitch will do it either ! jmo RJ

PS the 6.5 Grendel is a Very KOOL cartridge - i Like mine a LOT ! RJ
 
It's a pity CBSA is being so cantankerous; if they weren't, Brandon Herrera's shop in Texas would probably be happy to help you.
