Here is the 3rd rendition of my interest in attempting to make stocks. It has gotten a little bit more serious, and I am working with another member of the forum on this.
Here are a few pictures of the most recent stock we have mostly completed, have a couple more in the works for other guns in various stages of completion.
This stock weighed 3lbs as it is in these pictures, and it hasn't been inlet for a DBM yet and I could probably come up with lighter hardware.

As we don't have access to CNC the inletting is proving to be the biggest hurdle for us, doing it on a manual machine is slow and tedious. It has been roughly bedded to confirm and will need to be bedded properly after inlet for the DBM.

We are still dealing with some surface finish problems, we are getting better at it but it's not perfect yet.

Nice work. Are you guys wraping the CF around a substrate, of laying it down over molds?

Laying it into a 2 part mold. You can see in the last picture on the butt and the grip area where we had some excess resin buildup that caused the weave in the fabric to not lay down perfectly. Part of the learning curve I guess.

Eventually the plan is to perfect our layup process, figure out a way to inlet them cost effectively and eventually start selling them, but we are a little ways from that yet.
