What Pistol Magazine bases do you NEED?

Boberg.

Seriously, you would sell one for 80% of the magazines in Canada and if you could get to the market, 50% of USA magazines. It was one of the biggest requests on Erie Boberg's forums before he sold out to Bond Arms and shut the site down. There were people taking factory magazine extensions from some other pistol (found it, it is a Taurus PT709/PT740) and re-cutting the rails on them to slide onto the base of the magazine.

One guy was making a tiny steel hoop and 3D printing over it: the hoop slide onto the magazine and prevented the 3D plastic from breaking. The issue was he didn't have the ability to produce them for less than the cost of several magazines. Even more getting them into Canada.

The original bases, Ernie said, are cast and then machined blocks of Delrin or something. I might be able to search the web for an archived post if possible (EDIT: It is here).

The problem for me is that my hand is a normal size: too large to get my pinkie finger onto the grip, too small to let it tuck under the magazine. That means when I do any form of drill or other grasping of the pistol without focusing on the grip my pinkie finger gets the base plate of the magazine square into the bone. My pinkie goes numb after two magazines and when the feeling comes back the hand cramps.

It is my favorite small handgun of all time... but that grip length is 4-5mm too short or too long.
