wasnt getting a response quick enough in another post, to curious to wait...

has anyone tried and tested this re-manufactured ammunition from custom reloading maple ridge BC.

they dont have a web sight, just phn #.

cheers.

well i was hoping for more on the reliability of the ammo, feeding, roll size brass etc... are they as good as Combat masters or Wolf for remanufacture... i ask just cause it would be nice to order from somwhere close to home.

Hmm so someone else has purchased this ammo, in my OPINION I would not shoot it out of any of my guns ever again or reccomend anyone shoot it.

I dont want to discuss it until the issue has been resolved, but said ammunition was purched from P&D last year, with destructive results. I will post more about it once I have a chance to talk to P&D about it. Caliber was 40S&W.

I think this is the stuff that Phoenix has for range ammo sometimes...

Seems to work ok, Ive never seen it be a problem, if it is the same stuff. Gets put the the range guns all the time, and they definately aren't as well taken care of as they could be. I wouldn't be comparing it to any factory ammo though.

I tried and fired his reloads they're decent, tried a bunch of 9mm FMJs, 45acp FMJs and 308win interlock rounds and they all fired fine, and loaded well, this however was a few years ago. Everything is to SAAMI specs I would think. Not the most accurate compared to rolling your own but decent for shooting.

I just bought 500 JHP 147gr 9mm from him tonight. Shot a box of it through my CZ Shadow, and it all worked perfectly and generated really good groups.

I plan on buying more...

I've bought 1000 rounds of 9mm from him before, good quality and affordable ammo. But be sure to use it in modern guns, the cartridges are loaded a little bit hot sometimes.

I've fired thousands of his reloads. No problems, except a tok 9mm I have that didn't feel that his had enough grunt to cycle the action. (I've got to cut a loop or two off the hammer spring, very tight) He stepped right up and swapped em for me, as he was at the range that day. I'd rather shoot some of his than some name brand stuff. I've had more inconsistancy from igman.

I use his 9mm, his is all I shoot, and I have no complaints at all. I call, he says come by, he always has it in stock, as much as I want. If I want 1000 rounds he has it. Very excellent prices, and he even met me one day in Abbotsford cause it was convenient for both of us. Very pleasant fellow. :)

Edited to add..... The only time I ever had a problem was when my gun was grungy, and that was poor maintenance on my part. Would have happend with any ammunition.

I've purchased 9mm, 357 mag, 45auto from John and haven't had a problem. Except the 9 mm would'nt cycle properly they would hang up on the feed ramp sometimes. I had this fixed and now they work great . Components I have bought are 9mm , 357 mag, 45 auto and I think they are Montana Gold. Great prices !!!
Yes John is the old poco range guy.

I used to shoot alot of his .45 ACP back in the PoCo days. Good stuff...Clean, light recoil and pleasantly accurate. As good or better than your standard store bought stuff. I liked it because of the fact it placed all the brass right by my right foot. Just enough power to function the G21 perfectly without chucking the brass three lanes over. Easy collection means happy reloading.

I don't buy his prerolled stuff much anymore, mainly supplies. He is a true gentleman, great to deal (and chat) with. Deal with confidence with John.
