well have had my ruger #1b with a 29 " Broughton stainless barrel and chambered to 26 Nosler.
the extra length makes it realy shine,Finaly get it to the range
129 Nosler long range with US 869,3460fps,best group is .53" for 3 shots at 100 yards.
127 Barnes long range,US 869.3390 fps,best group was 1.1"
142 Nosler long range accubond,3368 fps.best group was .80"
142 SMKS.3390 FPS.went to .60"
Scope used was a 3.5 x 18 x 44 Z5 Swar.
super clear and not to big,great scope.
Fed 215 match primers,and Nosler brass,best powder is US869.
Will get to ring this long range moose rifle,out to 600 yards on the thanks giving weekend.
Will get accurate true drop readings.
2" high at a hundred,with 142 Nosler ABLR.
300 THEN 400 THEN 500 AND 600 YARDS.Want to see how close the charts are to the actual drops.
