I've been spending a little time over at rimfire central and am just wondering if guys up here are building their own 10/22's and how difficult was it? Is it just the receiver that is registered, or the barrel as well?

just the receiver.. and mine's not that interesting, just a 3-9x40mm scope, a butler creek side folder and a single point sling on a stainless carbine.

and some 25 round butler creek mags too..

It's a fun .22.

Welcome to CGN ddrisebo!
I've built lots of 10/22's
The builds are not hard to do....the hard part is finding parts and pieces to do them. :p

It's a slippery slope....beware. :D ;)

I've built a few now including altering the stock hammers, sears, bolts and stocks thanks to RFC. The only replacement parts I've had to buy are barrels, triggers and cosmetic stuff though I've made a few cosmetic parts also. They are truly addictive and as Wham-O says it's a slippery slope for sure. Welcome to the site.
