Hey i got a new vz58 for a present to myself for getting my red seal in carpentry, and as part of that i would like to make hardwood handguard upper and lower piece for my vz58. i was wondering if there was tutorials or even info anywhere on how to go about doing this. It looks like i would have to strip the polymer finish off the existing upper hand and build on to there? any information or links would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Marty.

To be honest, the sets are all made by hand.
Just to respond back to your pm.

If you can trace out the original handgaurds and have some tools I'm sure you could possibly make yourself a set if you really wanted to.
Don't think there is tutorials about how to do this as everyone who can or does make them do it different then others

alright thanks for your reply.i kind of worded it badly. i was asking more or less it the polymer grip seperated from the steel heat shield so a wood one could slip in, or if a whole new heat shield needed to be made or bought. but the video did sum up everything for me, thankyou
