Hello all,
I had a 10/22T that shot good but it was too heavy for walking so I sold it.
I recently replaced it with a new 10/22 Deluxe model. I really like the look, feel and light weight of this rifle. My questions is what I could do within reason to "accurize" this little gun for hunting and plinking and still keep it looking good?

I'd appreciate any suggestions about what to have done, and who in Canada I could send it to, as I'm no gunsmith. Not looking to go crazy on this project but just some suggestions. Thanks.

I have a 10/22 Deluxe and use it a lot for plinking and chasing Grouse in the fall. I installed a Volquartson hammer and sear, bedded the action/floated the barrel, polished up the bolt and I was good to go. Oh yes I installed a Simmons 4-12X AO scope and a sling. Shoots under 1" at 50 yds. with most ammo. All this can be done by you and needs no special tools.

A very good option for this would be to get a GM sporter barrel. They are the same contour I think as the factory barrels but way better in the accuracy department. They are around $100 I believe. The barrels are preatty easy to get on and off so no gunsmithing work would be required for this either. I have heard most people with these barrels are getting 1/2 - 3/4" groups at 50 yards with quality ammunition.

CZ is right. Or you can check out www.rimfirecentral.com and PM Skeeter27red about is accurized factory barrels. I am not too sure what he does but he doctors the barrels just right and man-o-man are they accurate and they will run you less than $100.

I have a few 10/22 upgrades done by him like the trigger assembly and bolt handle you see below. Top quality stuff. Check him out.

Edit: I just check and Skeeter has some right now.

Here's the 10/22 22lr barrel special you've been waiting for!
I'm making some factory re-worked and target proven barrels available to the RFC people for an incredible price as a package deal never to be seen again!
These are the exact same factory re-worked target proven barrels that sell for $179 with an adjustable v-block and included shim, NOT seconds!!!
Every barrel is set back, re-chambered using our proprietary process, hand lapped and Moly Fusion treated, then target proven before shipping to you. Their 25 yard targets come with the barrels, and an Adjustable V-Block (24.96 retail) is included along with the needed shim! The targets range from the "O's" to the "Teens" at 25 yards, there are no "Icky quarter inchers" among them!!!
