Cut shell vs Wax

- One of these days some damn fool is going to run a cut shell steel shot load through an old gun with a fixed full choke and run out of luck.

i only use low brass lead shot target loads for ''cut shells'' .. but you never know what some damn fool will do

Ja, or maybe a 3-1/2" mag in a damascus barreld gun chambered for 2" shells....

There is no limit to the potential dumb things someone could do.

Just like another potentially dangerous hobby.... Reloading!
I mean... can you imagine that some people put bullets of varing weights on multiple powders in cases of different calibers!!!
Some poor damn fool is going to load his .308 with a 300 grain .45 cal slug and power it with Bullseye, and he'll be "out of luck!"

- Well, okay, maybe I was being a bit of an old nanny. :)

I may have some reservations with the cut shells, but just because I haven't tried em yet. I did, however, do a couple of range tests with some wax slugs that I made from #2 shot and, dang. Punched through two separated layers of 3/4 plywood and then spread the #2 shot into the hill behind. Still lots of power coming out of the back of the 2 layers of ply, too. First hole looked like a slug, second hole was about 50% bigger but clean through. Not bad in a pinch...
