Cutting 1/2x28 threads into existing 14mm CCW ?

Is it possible to get 14x1lh threads cut into a Jp brake?

Not enough to clean up the 1/2x28 thread and recut for a metric that tight.

Can you go the other way around ? Cut 1/2x28 threads into existing 14mm CCW thread ? Essentially making an Airsoft "mock" flash hider fit an AR...

Doesn't everybody need a gold anodized KX3 flaming pig ???

14mm= 0.55" ,between 1/2 & 9/16" ..NO , however an adapter to fit 14mm inside thread, (male)with 1/2x28 (female) is the only way.. good luck

An adapter isn't possible. The valleys of the external 14x1.0 metric thread would be down below the crests of the internal 1/2-28 threads. The resulting "adapter" would look like a disfunctional slinky in short bits.

Boomer, there no meet for this to work. The 1/2-28 tap would just scratch the internal peaks of the 14mm threads. The part you have is what it is. It won't fit onto anything other than the 14mm threading without some major machining to it. Machining that would certainly cost more than the part.

Or, if you're already making stuff, bore out the threads on the flashider and install (press in or thread etc) an internally threaded bushing that fits your 14mm thread. Wouldnt be too hard, really.

I don't own that gold (airsoft) Noveske pig with 14mm CCW threads.

I just saw it and thought, "hmmm wouldn't that look different on the end of an AR" (the gold color, that is)...

On a serious note though, does someone make that stepped adapter BlastAttack ???

To get this straight:

Your rifle barrel is threaded 14x1 LH and the gold brake is threaded 1/2-28?

If that is the case, there are plenty of adapters available. Just look for AK to AR thread adapter and you should find plenty of them. Unfortunately, no results taking to the barrel from 1/2-28 to 14x1 LH, though any machinist worth his salt should be able to cook one of these up fairly readily.

Just reread your post, the brake is 14mm and your rifle is 1/2. Info still applies, however.

I was only asking if the picture you (BlastAttack) posted was an actual product being sold, for the purpose described initially...
