Have a pet project of mine I have been attempting to work on for a while.

The next step involves cutting into a hogue rubberized stock, but I want to do it cleanly, or have a professional do it cleanly if it involves.

Is this somthing that should be accomplished with a hot wire, or can standard cutting tools with fine blades cut the stock cleanly?

Thanks for any input. :welcome:

Grinding at high speed with a carbide burr.. I did a barrel channel as best I could. Tricky job to make it look good.

Zombie thread its back from the dead!

So how did you do it? Im doing it right away and didnt want to start a new thread.

if you were to put the stock in the freezer it would temporarily harden the rubber thus making it easier to grind/cut without the rubber flexing to much.
