Cutting edge bullets

Has anyone reloaded or hunted with the cutting edge extended range raptor or the mth bullets? Would be interested to hear how reloading went and the terminal effects of these fragmenting bullets.

You just might find them to be the easiest bullets you've every loaded for. Usually it's just a matter of finding max and carrying on. They shoot, and are made to tolerances conventional manufacture can only dream of.

Most of my field experience is with Safari Raptors in .458, and a bit in .375. Maybe 5 dozen worth, mostly buffalo. They are good enough I guess, no better than plenty of good bullets with the lead still in them. Brush eats them alive, which is why I don't use them anymore.

I did a bit with the 235 grain ESP in .375 H&H. Out to 500 it basically duplicates the trajectory of a .300 Win. Thin skinned game tends to display a freakish amount of bleeding. If you like blood on the ground it delivers.

This is encouraging to hear. Was thinking of trying the 135gr 7mm version this fall.
