CX bullet seating depth/COL

I’ve had good luck seating my TSX bullets 50 thou off the lands. Is there any tips or tricks to the Hornady CX bullets? Set them right at the lands, 50 thou off the lands or just go with the recommended COL? Any experience and suggestions appreciated.

I find that all monometal bullets like more jump to the lands, and if seated too close, the pressure can rise dramatically.

I have some 6.5 130gr Cx and will start at .050 off and go deeper if needed

This is kind of what I was thinking. I just haven’t seen it written anywhere.

I run a Browning Xbolt 6.5 Creedmoor, 130gr CX, 40gr H4350 and large riffle mag primers. I seat them 30 thou off the lands and getting average 2700fps. 1" grouping at 200yards

I have some now too and I will start at .030 off . Then go deeper if needed . RJ
