CX4 guide rod broken

So my cx4 storm plastic guide rod broke. Does anyone know where I could get a metal one like this in Canada?

You can't unless you have it made, which wouldn't be that hard. I went through this two years ago and just ordered a replacement from Brownells. It comes as a full replacement of spring and rod and sorts out the problem at once.

I fab'd one out of an aluminum .22 cleaning rod...
Worked fine...

I made a non-captive one from a piece of aluminium rod and a file from Home Depot. Crude, but worked. New rods can be ordered from Italy (forget name of shop but if you search you'll find it).

If you know someone with a lathe I am sure you could make a nice one in no time at all; it's only the end that is keyed for the rubber buffer that needs work... I did it with a file in 5 minutes but looks rough, but worked great.

I sent the broken guide rode to my father who works for a machine shop. I got it back and in the gun a couple days ago. Put a couple hundred rounds through it and it works great. The stainless steel won't break. Thanks for the help.
