I'm looking on google maps and in person for areas to hunt. In NS,I need to be ~380m from a dwelling to legally discharge my rifle (without asking permission).

Is there anyway I can place multiple 380m radius circles on houses to find what areas are and aren't good to go scout? So far i've been manually using the measure tool but once you get a place, there's usually some where else on an angle that ends up being closer.

Thanks

I would look for maps put out by the natural resources dept of the provincial government first. I know the new brunswick government has maps showing crown land, protected wilderness areas that you can't hunt in, other designated areas which allow hunting, winter deer yards etc. then I would look to google maps (or google earth if you want 3d) for a photo of the area to get a better idea of terrain. once you identified a few areas its time to do some leg work. I don't know the NS regs for private land but its never a bad idea to get permission from the land owner before season.
