Cylinder Reaming Question

I shoot a couple of .45LC Ruger Vaqueros.
I noticed a fair amount of leading in the cylinder throats and comparing the forcing cone in the barrel, I note the forcing cone is larger than the cylinder throats, then seems to tighten up at the muzzle.
Will opening up the throats on the cylinder decrease the leading and help in accuracy etc?

Your barrel should be slugged to see what the bullet diameter should be and each chamber measured. The diameter in front of each chamber should be no smaller than the correct bullet diameter. If it is, then the bullet gets sized down when fired and goes into the barrel undersize..... accuracy suffers for sure.

Leading happens with all lead bullets It should be removed periodically.

I am a cowboy shooter myself and have some observations to pass along. Leading in the forcing cone, the clyinder face and the point where the cartridge case ends in the chamber has always prooved to be a pain in the butt. Quite by accident I decided to lube some unlubed resized (.431 to.427) bullets with Lee Liquid Alox in my brand new Vaqero's (44-40's). I had the bullets but was to rushed/lazy to run them thru the Lyman luber/sizer. Lo and behold there was virtually no flash leading on the cylinder faces.
The forcing cones did not show any build up of crud and the bores were clean. The idea came really from my success with high speed cast rifle bullets and also after reading Lee's newest reloading manual. The book has some interesting stuff on alloys,lubes,cylinder thoat,forcing cone and bore size relationships. In short,if it's a lead bullet lubed or not,it gets a coat of liquid alox.
Saved a bundle in cleaning supplies and elbow grease. By the way if you're going to try this on an older gun you have got to get all the old crud out first.A Lewis Lead Remover, Butch's Bore shine and a Lyman polishing cloth help a bunch in reducing the effort required.
