Hello, just acquired a CZ 25 rnd polymer mag, tried it with win x, and federal bulk ammo, both hollow point. Both types had feeding issues. Seems the bullet scrapes going into the chamber leaving a sharp edge of lead and will not go further. Almost like the lead is too soft and will not direct the shell into the chamber. The stock 5 shot mag feeds reliably with anything i throw at it. Instructions say to use a different ammo if you have troubles, so which ammo are you finding feeds reliably with this mag.

Cheers

If it's scraping the lead try a Copper plated bullet.

Other options are to soften the edge that's cutting into the lead or modifying the lips of the mag to change the angle. Sometimes with a new magazine you will get better results if you fill it right full for the first few outings.

will try keeping it full, as the first 5 do feed good. The copper plated is exactly what it seems to need. Will look through my cabinet and see if I have any like that. Rifle also only has a couple hundred through it so maybe it will soften its own edge with a bunch of copper plated. what would a guy use to soften that leading edge?

What tool to use depends on the shape and accessibility of the bit that needs attention. Maybe emery cloth wrapped around a dowel or possibly a chainsaw or needle file.
Just take it slow as it shouldn't take much to round the sharp edge. If it's not working take a look at other things.

I have 3 x 25 round mags. , 2 are good the third I took a 5 mm chainsaw file and rounded the front edge.
