I'm looking for a good .22 bolt gun, and someone recommended me the CZ. I'm just curious as to what the differences are between the 452 and 455? Is there a difference in features? Quality/fit and finish? Can some CZ owners give their opinions on these rifles' quality and accuracy? Are they worth the extra cash compared to, say, a Savage MkII? Much appreciated.

I have the 452 varmint in .17hmr, .22lr, .22wmr & a 452 scout for the young fella. All of them are on my never sell list. Some say the 452/453 vs the 455 are going to be like the pre & post 64 winny 70's. I don't know myself for I have only handled a 455 and still chose the 452. The 453 & 455 has a set trigger system & the 455 has interchangeable barrels that are near impossible to find. I'd say buy a 452/453 while you still can.

I believe there isn't a 455 with a set trigger (unless it just came out). I looked last year, and then got the 453 with set trigger.

Also, on models with iron sights, the sights are better on the 452.

Here's a 100yrd target:

IMHO, they are worth the extra money over a savage mkII.

Your right, the 453 is the only set trigger, the 455 has an adjustable trigger. I should have looked into it more before I posted. Like I said I only handled the the 455. I still suggest a 452 with a $18 yodave kit installed, imo that's the best bang for your buck. Savages are good rifles too if you get the accutrigger models, I preferred the look of the cz's and there walnut stocks are very nice.
