Hey guys-I mostly play but CZ's rules with bolt handle clearance vs. scope size/height, so as long as I've been shooting them....I really haven't paid attention to what you guys are using/what you're buying, etc. For the 527, I know (knew?) of a vendor who'd alter your bolt handle but you had to send it for alteration and wait for it to come back. In the US. Not doing anything like that.

On the weekend, I tried someone's 452 in an MDT Chassis, it had a black...tear-drop-shaped (Phenolic-feeling) bolt handle that was very comfortable to use. The guy who owned it bought the rifle already set-up/no idea where it came from.

Looking for off-the-shelf/ready to mount options if they exist. Don't want to thread my bolt handle. Any leads?

Were the ball-ends not threaded on back then?

There are silicone slip-over pieces you can get from Tourbon
Nope, all one unit. Some people used to wing it with a grinder to get it close enough to the point where you could get a die over it. Lots of screw-on options.

Just wondering if anyone new of a ready-made/just disassemble the bolt and sleeve on the new handle?

State side but they do directly ship up here. At least they were not too long ago. They list a couple different knob options for their bent bolt handle.

MDT has a system that goes OVER the existing knob and then a sleeve to hold the 2 parts together. Very clever!

I 3D printed mine. Ive since changed to a radius'd design but cant be arsed to take a photo just for you ;)

I picked up an MDT clamp on unit for my BCL Bison. It didn't have the threaded knob so didn't have too many options. I grabbed the one that looked the closest to the shape of mine, heated up the knob a bit and press fit the MDT onto it. Works perfect for me.
