I've been looking for this model (in Canada)for some time now, even went as far as contacting the Canadian importer ,but alas even hes having a hard time getting them, now my question is(drum role),,,,,,,,how do i go about buying and importing a rifle from the US:confused:

By the way this is the one i want http://czusa.net/product_detail.php?id=82
CZ 452 American 16" bbl just in case someone has and wants to sell:D

Did you try Illingworth Imports? They are probably a hot commodity in the States and would be in short supply.

Nope :) I haven't tried Illingworth Imports nor Frontier Firearms,Talked to the Canadian importer directly and hes having a hard time getting them so i figured an import from the US is my next best option.next would probably be buying a varmint model, chopping and rethreading the barrel(don't really wanna have to do that)

Oh sorry, I just realized you are looking for the new 16" American... I was thinking of the 16" Scout Youth model... Yeah, I doubt you will find one anywhere in Canada. But be patient, I'm sure we'll see them here soon enough.

But if you are intent on importing one, check out Questar's link at the top of the page. They specialize in importing firearms from the US for buyers.

just out of interest, what is the point of having a threaded barrel here in canada? what are you planning to thread onto it?

but the 16inch model would be better than a cut down varmint has it has the two action screws, rather than one in the barrel like the varmint..

Just try Elwood Epps. I bought my LH 452 American off of them when they first came out and they had to import it from the States.

Otherwise, ask Wholesale Sports if they plan on carrying them, I see they now list the other CZ rimfires on their website. They are cheaper now at WSS than what I paid at Epps a few years ago.

Ya got me crunchiespg ! don't really need the treaded barrel, just think it would look cool with a fake can or even a muzzle brake(I'm just a little nutty that way :runaway: ) and good point on the two action screws ;)

thanks krausb didn 't think of Questar,I'll give them a try in the morning

I don't think you're nutty - I too think it'd be quite a sight! ;)

even cheaper if you goto the mcleod trail Calgary canadian tire. only $450 for a CZ452 American, wholesalesports is $499...

im sure the CT will order you one in...

Are you allowed to cut a rimfire rifle down to less than 18"? Or is it the same rule as with shotties where it has to come from the factory that way...

that is one rule I really can't understand-why is it legal to have 16'' barrel-if it comes from the factory-but illegal if you cut it to 16''?Makes absolutely no sense at all
