I’m new to this forum so excuse me if this is a repost. I just recently got a new CZ 452 LUX 22 and am very happy with it except the roughness of the bold movement. When the bold is advanced it can stick unless a bit of force is used or the bolt is advanced in a perfectly straight line. Is this a defect or something that will break in over time? Thanks!

Welcome to CGN :) :D

It will break in over time.

Try a bit of gun lubricant on it and work it back a couple hundred times and it should be good. Or go shoot a brick (500 rounds) of some high velocity ammo. Should loosen things up over time.

Welcome:)
Try and keep it inline when closing, and yes it can be a bit rough, take dry lube, sit and watch a movie and cycle away, I use jewelers rouge, and hit all the rough areas when cycling, the thing will end up like glass.

Thanks guys! Levi Garrett I'm not familiar with dry lube or jewelers rouge, do they have the at the most hardware stores?

I had the same experience when I started using mine. I shot approx. 750 rounds through mine and then cleaned the bolt and gave it a little bit of household oil for now while it's not in use, i will have to pick up some dry lube later. She cycles smoothly now. :D

So, explain this Jewelers Rouge. Where does one get it and for how much?

Jewelers rouge is not something you would want to use as a lube, its not unlike sandpaper for metal, just very very fine grit in a chalk like format, comes in red , and white, white is more abrasive. All you are doing is taking all the rough surface to surface metal and making it like glass. I would use it just to polish rough binding metal and a one time only deal. This will intern make the surface more durable, as a smooth surface is much more durable than a rough one. Once you have the desired amount of lapping done, remove all traces, and apply a teflon lube or rem oil or whatever lube you want. But remember , lube in the action is mostly for storage, always do a pre firing cleaning removing oil from bore, bolt face, gas pistons , you get the idea:D
I got some red from a local jeweler that used it to polish jewelery that he made.
