Hi,

I'm about to buy a CZ 452 for small game hunting this fall. I was about to order the Lux and saw that I could also get a FS model with the Mannlicher stock. The FS is almost $100 more expensive ($449/$529). I really like the looks of the FS and the shorter barrel (21") doesn't make a big difference to me. However, should I be concerned with any loss of accuracy due to the impossibility of floating the barrel on the Mannlicher? It appears to have some sort of barrel band-ish bracket attaching the end of the barrel to the tip of the stock.
My gut tells me to just get the Lux, but man, does that FS ever look sweet.:)

full stock

I love the full stock, only problem is its so pretty I hate hunting with it. Accuracy is great and would not worry to much unless you hunt in a major moisture area. :)

That's what I was thinking," Too pretty to hunt with". :)
I think I'll get the Lux and get a couple of spare steel mags with the difference.
BTW, is the forend cap on yours steel or plastic?

Thanks, Steve

I'd get one of each even if you can't afford it. You'll probably get both eventually anyway. And they're both such nice looking guns!

You can't go wrong with Brno's! :D If it was me I'd get the FS in .22LR and consider the Lux in .22 mag.

re full stock

My CZ forecap is actually pewter, its a range gun looks good hanging in the gun room wall but thats it. For hunting I picked up the 10/22 stainless international it looks pretty and can shoot and if I am grousin in the rain I have the 10/22 stainless with a butlercreek folding stock. You need more than one 22 its as simple as that. Enjoy whatever you get.:)

Just got back from the range with a new CZ 452 Lux, in 22 WMR. It shot CCI Maxi Mags , both HP , and hard point very well, the sights were a breeze to set up. I had to move the windage a bit, then added a bit of hight to the front sight (25 meters) then all that was left was to slide the block on the rear sight to the 50 m, and 100 m marks for shooting those ranges. Accuracy was excellent for iron sights, and dumping those Iron chickens @ 100 meters , a joke:D . I think you can not go wrong with this rifle in 22 mag, it hits very hard, and loads of fun. Oh , and Turkish walnut is choice....
