I finally picked one up after procrastinating about getting one. I have three questions.
1- lightweight rings & height suggestion for a Leupold FX-1 scope
2- Trigger guard replacement ( not a fan of the cheap factory one)
3- Replacement stock options? Synthetic would be nice.
Thinking this will make a nice hiking grouse & bunny gun!

My Scout is a little overboard. Gopher getter in the pasture. 452 stocks fit. Some sweethearts don't need lipstick, fancy bottom metal wouldn't make it shoot any better.

- If you are using a Leupold FX-1 Rimfire, you have the option to mount your scope low as the smaller ocular diameter that comes with that scope won't interfere with the CZ bolt. I use Burris Rimfire/Airgun rings in Medium (420069) with a Leupold 2-7 Rimfire. The scope fits nicely behind the rear sight. It is possible that you will faintly see the image of the front hood at 4x. Another good option for mounting your scope low is Talley CZ Rimfire Rings Low (22CZRL). These rings are slightly higher than the first option and they are also negligible lighter. Here is a spread sheet with some other CZ scope/rings options that have worked for me in the past:

- I have used my Scout with a CZ Silhouette stock in the past. It was a very light set up but I didn't like how the rifle balanced so I am back to using the original stock with a Pachmayr slip on pad that gives me an extra in of pull.

Thanks for the info, very much appreciated!

I put my grandson's Scout into a Boyd's Pro Varmint stock. I cut a couple inches off the front and shortend the lof 3/4 of a inch. As he grows I will just need to add some spacers to the but pad.

Nice rifle, I bet it will knock down a lot of gophers.

well he can shoot very well for only being 11 years old. With his Caldwel br rest up front and edgewood rear bag he consistanly can shoot groups hovering around the 1/2" mark and that is using CCI blazers at 50 yrds. I think I will get him a few boxes of the really good match grade ammo and see if he can consistanly shoot under 1/2" at 50.
