I'm not completely ready to part with it BUT just wondering what people would consider a reasonable price for an as new, mint condition CZ 452 ZKM 2E Mannlicher (.22lr) fullstock with 2 mags and a Scorpion Optics 2-7x40 scope. The rifle has seen LESS than a box of ammo so <50rnds.

Good question. They've always commanded a little more than varmints/Americans, and some will pay a real premium for them. Condition/wood grain play a part of course. High/low mileage-condition matters, and good photos help your cause.

Value? Opinions vary, having owned 3 X 452s myself...they have to be pretty special to be worth more than about $600. Talking varmints/Americans. Your full stock version maybe +$100, so asking price $700?

+ if condition is exceptional/as new, has original box, you're original owner, wood grain is unique/highly figured=or any combination of these

As a rule, scopes don't add value and can be a distraction to potential buyers. More convenient to sell rifle/scope combos, but my suggestion would be to take the scope off and list separately. Good opportunity to confirm your rings haven't left marks on the receiver.

Generally agree with the sentiments. One thing is the fullstock versions are a niche market. Not everyone likes them. As long as trigger not altered though and wood in good shape then his numbers are fair. I would do the scope as a separate deal but it is not a brand like a classic Leopold which would be attractive to lots.

Is possible that the rings - if decent quality - would be worth more than a Scorpion scope - despite their advertising, those scopes are not, in my view, a particularly high end thing, at all. Based on at least two Scorpion .22 scopes that I have bought in the past - inexpensive - but that is about it. Most of the rimfires here have various Leupold scopes - FX, VX-1 and VX-2 - 4 power, 2-7 and 3-9 - at least one with AO and several without - without apology, I am a Leupold rimfire scope fan-boy , although my latest is a Savage 17 HMR that is getting an AO Lyman 6x All-American scope to try out ...

A CZ 452 might have 3/8" North American dovetail with 45 degree side slope, or might have 11 mm European dovetail with 60 degree side slope - would be helpful to a potential buyer to know which it is. As above - some view the full length stock as a plus - some of us do not ... I bought a used CZ 452 Silhouette in 2013 for $532 mailed to me; CZ 452 rings (that I installed on the Silhouette) from TradeEx were $107 mailed to me in 2014; in July, 2020 I bought a used CZ 452 Scout for $632 mailed to me; in Feb. 2021 I bought a used BRNO No. 1, made in 1955, for $600 mailed to me. In Aug. 2021 I also paid $40 mailed to me, for what I believe is a correct front sight hood for that BRNO No. 1. All of the rifles were purchased through CGN EE.

Reviewing my notes - I bought 2 x 10 round CZ polymer magazines in 2014 for $87 mailed to me - new from Dlask - I do not think I have bought any separate from rifles since them - there is multiple 5 round here - some metal, some polymer - they all seem to work among the rifles, CZ 452 and BRNO No. 1, indiscriminately.

Maybe is important that I am not a competitive target shooter - rimfires, for me, like .22 Long Rifle, 22 Mag and now a 17 HMR - for popping a crow or gophers - perhaps out to 50 meters - apparently this 17 HMR might reach much further, with precision. For the .22's, I use cheap stuff for ammo - Win 555, CCI Mini and Maxi Mag, and the like - so more precise competitive guys will have much different stuff on their "want" list.

Highly figured wood adds value to any 452. The fs model is worth more to some people, others not so much. My 452 fs has the 3/8 dovetail. It also has pretty nice wood, I would not take $1000.00 Canadian for it. I believe Ruger 77/22 Manlicher’s are selling for over that amount.

I think I read on Rimfire Central that some company in the Check republic bought the “worn out” 452 tooling from C.Z. and is producing them again.

Personally ... knowing that a scope got mounted on it detracts value, since there's a good chance the receiver will have marks from the mounts. I'm only thinking this since I'd run the 452 FS with iron sights since it has the hogback stock on it.

I have half a dozen CZ rimfires and for the price, they are a most excellent value.

That being said, they are not a $1000+ firearm. Their appeal has always been their reasonable cost for quality, especially 15 years ago.

Does the Bavarian (hog back?) not fit you somehow? It is meant for scope use, it is the European version of the Monte Carlo stock.

the premium is engraved and terrible engraving on the 2 I had

700-750 depending on wood

I still want one but a 452 is old technology now the 457 is much better

but it is a manlichter

The safety are apparently different - CZ 452 to CZ 457 - for sure the BRNO No. 1 and the various 452 here have the "pull safety lever back to fire" - I have read that 457 now has "push safety lever forward to fire". Is likely not an issue for a single rifle owner - but if you own multiple - sooner or later will aim and try to fire, with safety lever the wrong way - on your CZ rimfire or on another rifle. Hence, sounds like CZ got that sorted out with the 457 - I do not know if alteration is possible for the older ones?

I LOVE mine, especially with the Techsight I put on.

wcat - I was curious about that - it looks like you are able to use the Techsight rear aperture with the Techsight front sight post (?), over top of the barrel mounted rear sight? That barrel mounted rear sight does not interfere with the sight picture?

I recently acquired a Parker Hale PH16 N rear aperture sight for the BRNO No. 1 that I have - not so sure about the possible interference with the barrel mounted rear sight?
