cz 455 22 magnum .

Which model are you looking at? CZ 455's come in different models -- the CZ 455 American with no sights and a sporter barrel, the CZ 455 Varmint with no sights and a bull barrel, the CZ 455 Lux with sights and hogback style stock (suited for open sight shooting) and sporter barrel, the CZ 455 Ultra Lux, which is similar to the Lux but with a 28"ish barrel. These have walnut stocks. All can change barrels between them and between calibers.

The thing to keep in mind about .22 WMR, of course, is ammo is less available than .22LR, it's more expensive, and it is not made in match quality.

i was looking at buying one of these .any input on them .

What do you know about them to begin with?
What do you think the pros and cons of the CZ455 might be?
I personally like the CZ , be it a 452 or a 453 or the 455.
I have an American 452 in .22 and an American in 455 in .17HMR and they shoot pretty dam fine.
They are $$ though and as mentioned the .22 Mag ammo is spendy and sometimes hard to come by well maybe challenging as opposed to hard it is available. As for not made in match quality that doesnt concern me as a manufacturer of good quality ammo will be enough for gophers and good enough to shoot a stupid coyote that gets to close to me and the target backstop ;)
Anyone looking for a nice 453 in .22 there is one at Reliable on Fraser St.
Tight Groups,

the model i was looking at was the 455 american . seen the price of the ammo for the 22 magnum and trying to find some might be another thing .i bet that alone puts people off from buy it in that caliber .

I have one each in 455 American and Canadian. They are accurate (in my non-Olympic shooter opinion) and well made. I have used one or the other for shooting gophers. They whack the little boogers good and proper, that is for sure.

what brand scope rings do you use for the 455 model .

The 455's all have an 11mm dovetail. There are a variety of good dovetail rings available. The particular rings you choose depends on the scope you use -- i.e. the rings must be high enough for the objective ring to clear the barrel. I have used Warne 7.3/22 rings, BKL, Sports Match, and even UTG. Burris makes good rings, as does Talley, Leupold, while some shooters get CZ rings. What scope do you have in mind?

i have a vortex viper 4 to 16 x 44.30 mil tube .or my weaver grand slam 3 to 10 .1 inch tube .
