Similar to my ammunition post I am looking for scope recommendations for my CZ 455 American in 22lr and 17hmr. Range 25-150m. 22 is for plinking and 17 for gophers.

Cheers
Chris

I like scopes with a good deal of magnification, but I use my rifles for target shooting only. I would recommend that for your described use any scope you choose should have variable magnification and an adjustable objective (AO) or side focus (SF) so that you can focus clearly at 25 yards and beyond.

What is your budget for a scope?

Leupold VX-2 Ultralight 3-9x33 EFR

Unless you want to see holes in your targets from 150 yards, then go a little bigger like 4-12x or 6-18x.

I'm in the same boat. Just bought a 455 American, and gotta scope it. I have a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire II 3-9X40 on my Mark II that I'm really happy with, but I'm thinking about maybe putting that scope on my CZ and buying a 4-12 Nikon for the Mark II as it's strictly a target shooting gun. I could spend more money on a more expensive scope, but I don't really see the need.

I find it frustrating that the CZ has dovetail rails, and it's almost impossible to find decent scope mounts for dovetails. Crappy Tire doesn't have any, just cheap crap. I checked out the Bass Pro website, and they don't have anything listed for 11mm dovetails. Looks like I'm going to have to order online.

You could also get dovetail to weaver adapter. Of course extra piece, extra cost

I went to dandl airguns. They sell BKL mounts that will fit 3/8 and 11mm dovetails or you could spend at grouseriver for warnes 722 rings

Try Mystic Precision from the vendors listed on this site. Jerry seems to be very knowledgeable and has everything you need. My CZ455 is coming with the high Burris Signature rings and I also have them on order for my Marlin XT-22VR, since the Weaver Quad rings didn't work so well for me. The beauty with the Burris Signature is you can get inserts if you need to cant your scope down to get on target i.e get your line of site and point of impact aligned. My scope on the Marlin ran out of adjustment.

Hi have a Bushnel Ultra Legend HD Mill Dot 4.5 X 14 great glass and fine cross hairs. Around $ 360.00, don't cheap out on rings or base as all is lost then

Amazon has the Warne 721 and 722 rings for under $40. They're decent quality, and can adapt to either 3/8 or 11mm dovetails. I have them on both my CZs with good success.

Leupold and Talley make the nicest rings for these... Prophet River sells the Talleys

I think I'm gonna get adapters and use Burris Zee rings, or some other weaver rings. With the adapters I have a much wider selection.

I ended up getting the BKL-257s. It's like they were made for this rifle. At first I thought they may be too high, but if they were any lower, opening the bolt would be uncomfortable. They are perfect.
