My local shop has Burris signature .22 med sized rings in stock, has anyone here used them with a 50mm lens on a 455? Did it clear the barrel?

I have an unknown set that I found in my parts bin and the bolt barely clears with my Nikon 3-9x40.
Any help would be appreciated!

Burris Signature Deluxe .22 medium rings are 0.90" from the bottom of the base to the middle of the scope tube. You need to know the outside diameter of the 50mm lens to determine if the rings will be sufficiently high. There is some added height gained because the barrel is slimmer than the receiver.

BKL makes a nice set that works. I have the same rifle, same scope. You'd want the BKL-257 mounts.

Edit: Sorry I misread your post. I have the Nikon 3-9X40 on mine, so you would need taller rings for a 50mm. BKL-257H should work.

Thank you, this was actually very helpful!

I really like the look of the BKL rings, I still may purchase a set.

I actually found a set of rings in my parts bin. No idea where they came from because the 455 is the first firearm I have owned with an 11mm dovetail.

The new scope is mounted and I have a couple mm to spare! Thanks for your help.

My CZ's have used a DIP rail and the Leupold ring mounts.
The biggest problem generally encountered is getting sufficient height so as to have the bolt handle clear the eye piece.
The rail appears to be the answer to both problems especially with a large objective.
