Does anyone know of a dealer that is selling barrels to swap out on the 455 platform?
I am specifically looking for a 17hmr in heavy varmint bbl.

After almost a year of getting the run around from the local distributor via the retailer I finally said f**k it and sent CZ HQ an email. They put me onto their warranty dept. in Quebec and lo and behold they have ordered one for me. ....or so they say.

Copy of email I sent:

In December of 2010 I purchased a .22lr caliber 455 Varmint. One of the reasons I chose to purchase this rifle was the option to change the barrel to .17HMR. I was told at the time of purchase that the .17HMR barrel would be available in the spring of 2011. Here we are in October and still no barrels are available. I am becoming increasingly frustrated and actually regretting my purchase of a CZ product.

When will the target/varmint .17HMR barrel be available for the 455? If it will not be available I would like to know as well and I will purchase another rifle in that caliber and it may not be a CZ product.

We are very sorry for the troubles you have concerning acquisition of the .17HMR barrel.
As far as I have learnt these barrels are available, or can be ordered. Otherwise, in order that barrel locking is correct it is necessary to cooperate on the work involved with a competent gunsmith.

I emailed CRAFM and got a reply back from Tara and went from there. Good luck.

Thanks Linziisdad. That is what I was fearing. I will e-mail CRAFM.

Redcat- I am looking for just the barrel not an entire gun. You say they had the barrels in stock? That would be fantastic! I will call them today. Thanks!

I don't have near enough patience to order thru Proline but if it's in stock...
