HI Folks,
I've got a 455 varmint 17hmr and was wondering if any of you folks that have one have a 50mm scope and what rings did you use ?
I want to use a Bushnell Tactical 6-24X50 (overkill I know) and keep the scope as close to the bore as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated !
Thanks !

Your 455 has an unusual (for NA) groove width of 11mm which will require an adapter of some kind in order to mount Weaver sized rings. Some companies make adaptable rings for direct mount like BKl 257 (this fits 3/8" and 11mm) and CZ makes their own rings for it. J&P Custom Products in the States makes a delrin adapter for the 455's grooves which are low profile, convert it to weaver size and are designed to work really well with Burris Signature Zee rings.

Your real issue with the 455 will almost always be with the bolt handle hitting the eyebell on the scope because of its high throw and poor clearance. 90% of the time these will colide long before the front of the scope touches the barrel so beware of this. Rimfire Central has a good section in the CZ forum stickies showing many different combinations of scopes/rings and heights you can work with to work around that issue.

I have Burris ZEE high rings on mine. The bolt arm does hit the eyebell on my Vortex scope, but it just barely does. It's worn the paint off the scope but it's no big deal for me.
