The CZ 457 CARBON is an extremely lightweight rimfire rifle that opens up a new dimension in shooting. It is the ideal firearm for extended stays in the countryside, as well as for sport or recreational shooting.

A new, key feature of this addition to the popular CZ 457 family of bolt-action rifles is an innovative composite barrel, which combines the best characteristics of steel and carbon fiber, and provides many unique advantages.

The most important advantages of the steel-carbon barrel include a radical reduction in weight, efficient heat dissipation during extended firing sessions and reduced vibrations after each shot. The steel core of the barrel is cold hammer forged and equipped with a MATCH chamber.

As a result, the CZ 457 Carbon Camo 22LR 20 inch weighs only 2,15 kg (4.7lbs), making it the lightest model in the CZ 457 rimfire rifle series, while still providing the same impressive accuracy as varmint models!

CZ 457 SERIES – A NEW GENERATION OF MODERN RIMFIRE RIFLES

The CZ 457 series offers exceptional user comfort due to its easy, fast and reliable operation, even with a mounted riflescope. For maximum safety, it comes with a push-to-fire safety on the right side of the receiver, striker status indicator and a separate bolt extractor control.

Shooting accuracy is ensured with its adjustable trigger mechanism that features low trigger pull weight and excellent travel, combined with a noticeably lighter striker and a new type of bedding. Other benefits include an extremely durable anti-corrosion finish on metal parts, easy change of caliber by users and reliable polymer magazines that are compatible with the previous generation of CZ rimfire rifles.

CZ 457 Carbon Camo 22LR 20 inch features:

Unmatched weight of only 2,15 kg (4.7lbs)
Innovative, ultra-lightweight 525 mm (20″) steel-carbon barrel
Barrel equipped with MATCH chamber
Polymer stock with soft-touch finish
Digital camouflage pattern on stock
CZ’s own highly durable, anti-corrosion finish on metal components
5-round polymer magazine
CZ 457 Carbon Camo 22LR 20 inch Comes With:

Box
1x Magazine
Manual
This is a Non-Restricted Firearm

Retail $2099.95/B]

Can I ask why this is 2k? But the Christensen ranger which is pretty similar is 12-1400?
It’s not even a carbon stock.

Man, gun prices have really went out to lunch.. makes it really easy to not buy anything new these days.

Looks like Justin is winning

Hell the bergera is under 1k often and even it rivals this?

There have been issues with the Rangers action. The CZ 457 is one of the highest quality factory actions ever produced.

The distributor sets the price after the manufacturer sets theirs. After buying Colt, CZ is out to lunch (perhaps because it is the failed Colt's management that makes decisions now).

CZ built a reputation on previous models to the point that future pricing went to their heads. They're going to price themselves out of the market. I expect that if you can wait a bit these will come down to a reasonable price.

If the market is for a high end bush type hunting rifle, I don't think I'd want to be limited by a match chamber. I'd want to shoot the high velocity hollow points, not low velocity match ammo. Maybe that's just me.
Looks nice, but that's an expensive pound compared to the cz 457 american.

$2000.00 and CZ gives you a polymer magazine, not steel.

Now there is nothing wrong with a polymer mag, but at a $2000.00 asking price one would think you would get a steel magazine and a second polymer mag.

Someone in their marketing department isn’t very bright!….:(

$2k for a 22?

what a joke

^that depends on who you ask. lol There are guys (not me) who put more than that into a 10/22 build, and I'd bet that there are factory 22LR rifles bought/sold in Canada every day that exceed that amount. I could point you to a few makes/models. My comments on this model would be for CZ, not VRS...and would mostly echo the sentiment so far.

Good to have all the available options, so kudos to VRS!

You bet! My 2024 PRS Rimfire rifle is well over $3K now. lol
