Cz 457 mdt xrs

Don't currently have one but have handled literally hundreds, and am planning on getting one for my 457 down the road. Solid chassis, the polymer panels are comfortable and eliminate the cold metal issue plaguing many chassis in the winter. It's a one-piece design so you don't need to buy anything extra (other than an enclosed forend; factory default is open) like the pistol grip or buttstock like MDT's other offerings. Be nice if they came in more colors than black and FDE, but I guess you could always custom order another color. The only concern is disassembly, can't be too rough or you could crack a buttstock panel (will not affect function however).

I really enjoy mine. It gives the CZ a feel like a center fire rifle which is what I was going for. I also have a rem 700 223 in the XRS as well. Its a great stock especially for the old price. I love the ergonomics and the vertical grip. Like everything they have took a bump in price to $659, not at all a shot at MDT, I'm actually a big fan but covid and inflation has everything gone haywire.

Really like the XRS, haven't had it out much yet but it did need another spacer pack to put the LOP where I want it. Feels very solid and well made.

The enclosed foreend option includes an ARCA rail. It bolts on easily.

I see a couple stores have a 457 combo that comes with a 16” barrel.
Will balance be an issue? I believe a 20” is coming out eventually, is it worth the wait?

My set up has always been with the 16" barrel. The balance of my setup from original till now without the barrel tuner and bipod whether it was the factory MTR stock to the MDT LSS-RF to its current XRS has been right at the mag well. Now it is balanced in front of the barricade stop and if needed I can order and add m-lok wieghts.

I feel the current 457 XRS combo, $1150 from Tenda, is a good price compared to buying everything separately. Just the XRS stock is $660 plus tax and shipping AND it looks like this model comes with the match barrel. When you're ready you can always upgrade the barrel to a longer aftermarket barrel later down the road and I'm sure someone would be interested in buying the 16" factory match barrel.

Great point about selling the barrel after if needed and thanks for the added description of balance point.

The 16” combo is for sure a great value for my needs, at the end of the day I don’t really care that much but I wish it came in a black option. Your setup looks awesome.

what have you got on the muzzle there? i want one for mine!!

Sorry, not very specific. Am I looking at a barrel tuner there "The ROC"?
I have the 16" threaded version coming if Tenda ever ships it and I am looking for something that will extend the profile out.
I have been looking at muzzle brakes but that thing you have there looks BA.
