I just like to hear from anyone who has shot the CZ 457 MDT XRS model. What their thoughts on the 16 inch barrel and stock. What kind of scope and scope rail you use. Thanks!

Purchased mine a few weeks ago, went to range twice, and very happy with it. Would have preferred 18-20 inch barrel, but honestly, the balance is perfect. For a better look, I added a DLASK Muzzle break. (adds a couple inches). The stock fit and finish is second to none, with lots of adjustments to get a comfortable shooting position.

I installed an OEM CZ 25 MOA rail, paired with a Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25-56 FFP.

I know you weren't asking about ammo, but thought I would share just in case you end up pulling the trigger....

Best ammo I tried was Lapua Center X, with SK Rifle Match very close behind (sub MOA all day). Other ammo does well, but less consistent it seemed (SK Standard, Eley Force / Team, RWS, etc - maybe it was me). The match chamber is tighter, so I noticed that cheap ammo doesn't fit well.

No regrets ! Hope it helps.

I was hesitant to get one since I liked the look of the Grey Birch 457 chassis as well as the lighter weight it'd bring. The price was very right at the time for the MDT XRS version so I snapped it up. The shorter barrel doesn't seem to hinder it at all. I'm still pulling down sub moa groupings at 100 yards with the right ammo. The extra weight is probably better for bench/prone shooting anyways. I run the 25 moa rail and and a Vortex PST II 1-6. It's a great setup, I can't imagine a more accurate production rifle. The XRS is comfy when you get used to it, my only gripe would be the LOP adjustment by spacers is mildly annoying and doesn't look fantastic when you've got them stacked.

I had mine out for it's first go this morning, have a CZ 25moa rail and another 20moa built into the arken scope base with an Arken SH 4 scope on top. Lovely to shoot. Had some extraction issues with cheapy ammo but hopefully it goes away when I find some target ammo. I like the XRS stock as I have one on a center fire target rifle. Would recommend.

Shouldn't have ANY problems extracting ANY ammo

I have a tikka t1x and a ruger american rimfire ZERO problems.

If you're having issues with a $1200 cz, there's unacceptable

Thanks to all for your responses! Much appreciated! I’m thankful for everyone sharing their experience with the rifle. Cheers!!!
