I recently bought a CZ 457 MTR from a sponsor. I'm having issues with extraction/ejection with this rifle from the git-go. Particularly with SK Rifle Match. Cycling the bolt aggressively yields the same result as gently cycling the bolt....the case remains in the chamber. I've tried other brands, RWS, Fiocchi, CCI and some cheap stuff. No failure to extract but ejection is sometimes "lazy", dropping the empty in the chamber. I haven't spoken with the dealer yet, I plan on calling tomorrow. I'm wondering if other owners have had similar issues??? Any advice is much appreciated!

Highly unusual for a CZ, they have a reputation for very reliable extraction and ejection. Though it follows with mass produced parts they're not always perfect and who knows if the tolerances at CZ are getting more generous these days. I haven't experienced any issues with my 457 American in this respect. I'd pop off the C-clip from the bolt and remove the extractor and shell holder. Have a close look at the bolt body and those two claws for any burrs that might be inhibiting free movement. The extractor should have a nice sharp edge and the bluing slightly worn off where it rides the extractor slot in the barrel on the edge that will contact the case rim. If it's still blue where it would grab the case rim but worn off further ahead, then the angle is wrong and you're not getting full contact with the rim. The shell holder might be gripping the case too tightly, some fine tweaking with a file to give a hair more space between the rim and it's edge might help, though I'll leave it to someone more experienced with ejection issues to chime in, I haven't really had to deal with this before.

I had the same problem with an ibi barreled 457 I bought off a guy here. Replaced the extractor spring (c clip) and it’s been perfect since

Extraction issues are fairly common with the 457 MTR. Several of us had issues when the 457 MTR first came out.
Mine would pull the case out of the chamber, but would drop the spent case on top of the mag (wouldn't eject). I initially replaced the holder and circular spring as the extractor was hard to track down, but saw zero improvement.
My issues were fixed by replacing the extractor.
You can order new extractors from Wolverine, CSC likely other places.

Mine had no issues in factory form but developed the same issue you’re experiencing after installing a IBI barrel. Research lead me to slight difference in headspace. Found some YouTube videos on bolt shims and viola! Problem solved and accuracy improved. They are available in Canada for a reasonable price. Google is your friend for finding the best deal. Just went and checked and Reliable Gun is where I got mine. 4 different sizes for a very reasonable price.

For the general reader, with a bolt action such as this extraction and ejection are usually two different things.

Extraction involves two "claws" -- the extractor and the holder -- on either side of the end of the bolt, which are held to it by the black extractor spring. These claws go around the rim when the bolt is pushed home and when the bolt is pulled back hold the casing (or round) and pull it out of the chamber as the bolt slides back.

The ejector is another part. It's part of the bolt guide. When the bolt with the empty casing in its claws is pulled over the bolt guide the ejector, which sticks out above the body of the guide, forces the casing out from the claws and it "flies" away, as it were.

The extractor and holder look similar. See below.

On the bolt guide shown below, the ejector is circled.

I’ve seen this issue on a couple 457s with match chambers and both were remedied with new c clip springs.
Also, take care when removing and reinstalling the c clip spring, trying to not flex it open too much.
