Near Impossible to source, The stocks are also meant for a child, But they shoulder pretty comfortably still for being short LOP457 puts out a “Scout” model
I looked at the cz 457 with a thin barrel with the plastic stock at Cabelas and i was surprised it shares the same stock as a varmint barrelled stock .I just did not care for that big gap around the thin barrel in a varmint stock .Have both, accuracy wise they are equal, for hunting i would go with a polymer model, less weight is better, the only advantage with the CZ is how easy they are to modify for different needs.
The tikka has a medium size barrel ,not thin and not heavy in the plastic stock but the end of the forarm was touching one side of the barrel so it was not free floating . Is it hit and miss or are they all like that .
Yes i know they touch at the beginning ,but the tikka they had on display . the nose of the stock was touching the barrel on one side . I guess they grabbed a dud for their display gun ...Receiver must be slightly cocked in that stock, I've never heard any complaints ref the barrel touching the stock..
That said, it is an insert that comes out with 1 screw. It's the same stock as a T3x.

Whats wrong with the tikka magazineI have a T1x and a couple older CZ455's.
The Tikka has horrible magazines IMHO, otherwise both the T1x/457 will shoot very well.
Laminate stock vs wood. CZ wood is always beautiful.
I bought the T1x because it was first past the post into Canada at the time (457 came here later if I recall).
It has been put into a chassis for bench rest shooting. The Tikka barrel can be a bear to remove to change it.
