hey guys just thought i would show off the new .22

I got out today with my cz 457 varmint precision 16". It was a very nice morning to shoot with just a tad bit of wind. I was shooting CCI 40gr sub-sonic HP, I bought quite a bit of it as my other hunting .22s seem to really like the stuff. I didn't take any match ammo out today as I was just breaking in the barrel and sighting in the new scope.

Groups were shot off a bipod and rear bag at 50 yards on 18x magnification. Average group size is .449 very please with this since it’s not even my good match Ammo. Groups held MOA at 100 yards as well. cant complain to much at that with cheap ammo, I will get out soon and shoot some match ammo to see if I can shoot some smaller groups.

This does not have the CZ match barrel. I was going to re-barrel it but it seems to be shooting well enough that i will hold off for now.

Hey , a nice rifle one to be proud of ..
I wouldn't be in a hurry to change barrels but
there has been the odd 457 MTR barrel
come up on the EE.

yep I have seen a few, I'm not sure it would be worth the 200.00... not until I test this one out with some SK match and the like. if it shoots it the same as the CCI subs then I will probably pick one up....or a Lilja i had my eye on :)
