CZ 512 in 22 wmr?

I just handled a 512 in 22wmr at "That Hunting and Fishing Store" so they have stock. I have not shot one but I did just pick up a Brno kms611 in 22wmr and will likely have a review up soon. The 512 is better finished and a bit bigger but it has a lot of aluminum ans plastic in it.

I shot mine just this morning....I have had it for over a year and love it. 100% reliable with both 5 and 10 round magazines. The trigger was at 5.5 lbs out of the box. After polishing and some other minor mods its at respectable 3.5 lbs. I am using Nikon Prostaff 3x9x40 with BDC reticle (good hunting scope - not great for target work).

Wow, didn't pick up on that. I actually got it on the EE here. I know Mountain Man in Cranbrook had a 512 last time I was there, don't remember if it was .22 mag. I think Valley Firearms had one, too.

I have a CZ512 in .22WMR and I really like it. It is perfectly reliable and very accurate. I also own a Remington 597 but in .22LR and the build quality of the CZ is much better. The only complaints I had about the CZ were the polymer charging handle and the heavy trigger pull. I got the trigger pull down to 3 lbs just by polishing the hammer and dis-connector and I machined a new charging handle from grade 303 stainless steel. I bought mine at Wolverine Supplies in Manitoba as they had the best price I could find at the time. It's a great rifle.
