Anybody hear much about these yet?

I'd like to get some more info, cause this looks like a ###y rim fire! Will be sure to give the 10/22 line a run for its money!

I'm sure it will at likely twice the price of your average 10/22. FS

It looks OK - I don't think I'll get one to replace my CZ511. Hopefully they changed it so that after the last shot, the bolt stays open (my only complaint about the 511)

Looks nice to me.

Reminds me of a cheap Vouer semi, it hard to believe this was designed in house, I think there making this mostly for the American market, sure won't sell my 2 BRNO 581's to finance one of these ugly ladies!!! CZ should get there head read, it is just not there style. Us who buy there products pay that little extra for machined steel and nicley shaped and fitted wood, this one is a loser in my books, regards Dale in T-Bay:confused:

if the 511 is still available-grab one-I've been shooting one for almost 20 years-and I love it-wish I had bought 611 .22 WMR to join my HK300 !

What was CZ thinking when they designed the 512 aesthetics? IMO, they should have decided on either the traditional or tactical look, but not a hybrid.

The 512 has to have something really special going for it for me to buy this hideous freaky looking piece. If it is as accurate as their bolt-actions, maybe.

Tyrol 5522

Ross B,

I have a Tyrol Model 5022 bolt action that I grew up with and I have seen a similar rifle only once before. In fact, I have never seen another Tyrol other than those two until your thread and almost nobody that I ever spoke to about the rifle, has ever heard of the Tyrol make.

Mine is such a great little gun that I am surprised that they are not more common. Do you know if there is any connection between Tyrol and Voere, both being Austrian.

How do you find the Tyrol semi?

meh, ill pass.
if you need a semi, there are 10/22s and 597s in a countless different configurations with thousands of widely available aftermarket accessories if theres something youre not happy with.
when i look to CZ, i want a quality, accurate bolt-action .22LR with oldskool styling - not some new semi-automatic abomination with no aftermarket.
