More like a #2 or #3 with narrow shank and straight taper. I have it and it's not a #4. These guns are 6.25 lbs.
I could measure it up tomorrow if you like.

I've looked at this rifle for a nice little bush hunter (the carbine version). I've always wondered what the accurate potential would be with that cartridge. Any range report?

I've just taken the measurements at the same points as the manufacturer to ballpark the contour of barrells I have. Break out the calipers and give it a go? The semi's have more angles and need more measuring, but still the same idea applies.
