CZ 527 Kevlar-pics added

Well, here is my atempt at a range report. After waiting some time for my dealer to get this rifle in I was pleasantly surprised with the results. I threw a 4-12X44 Shirestone mildot on it and it has been great. So far I have only tried 45gr win JHP at 100 yrds(50 rnds), but every group I shot was very tight. In fact, if I did my part(6 groups out of 10), every shot in 3 shot groups were either touching or extremly close to touching each other. The groups were not quite as good as my .308 LTR, but i think with some decent ammo it will be a keeper.

Thanks guys. I will try and post some pics after I grab my camera from my office tomorrow. Beltfed, I believe they are only offered in 1:9 but for some reason the same rifle with a laminate stock is said to have a 1:12. I'm defiantly not the guy who can tell you if 1:9 will stabilize 80 gr, but I'm sure someone here can.

Sorry for the bad pictures, I am far from a photographer:redface: . Anyway here it is.

i think im in love, im trying to convince myself i need a 204 ruger. DAMN YOU!!!
:D Blame the guy that showed me:redface:. I have a buddy who won't come into the gun shop when I'm there anymore for fear that his wallet will get thiner. I don't think you'll be disapointed. I haven't looked into anything in .204, but I am quite happy with the .223 as you can tell . Good luck.

Hey Mauser. I had seen something about it said before on another forum, also the review of the kevlar on snipercentral.com mentions the possibility of diffirent twist rates in the two riffles made me look into it further. I found that on w ww.cz-usa.com lists the twist rates of the laminate (1:12) and the kevlar (1:9) in the .223. The other CZ site mentions nothing. This could be a misprint, but I did not take the chance on the laminate due to the fact that I have read about it in more than one place.
Hope this helps,

KO, I found the U.S. website after I posted. Its odd that they would waste there time tooling up for two different twist rates, when 1:9 will do 45 to 75+gr bullets. I guess they're worryed about guys that want to shoot light bullets, over spining them and having them blow up.
