I would appreciate some advice from anyone who has mounted a scope on a CZ 527. I want to mount a VX-3 3.5-10x40 as low as possible on a CZ 527 American. I know that my options are somewhat limited but what do you guys recommend?
Does anyone know who carries D.I.P. bases and rails in Canada?
Thanks guys, I appreciate all the input, the issue is now resolved. Went with a DIP rail (Part # DP-19007, a 16mm dovetail to a picatinny rail) and a set of "Low" weaver rings as they are the absolute lowest rings I could find as I like my scopes as low as possible.

I had a Leupold 1.25-4x on mine, it was satisfactory but barely cleared the bolt. Eventually took it off and put a NECG peep site on it. Much happier now.

I took my necg peep off my 527 carbine and put medium warne rings on. My leupold 2-7x33 looks like it’s a bit too high on the rifle.

Leupold makes CZ 527 rings. The mediums gave the lowest scope objective and bolt clearance you can get. I've had a VX-3 6.5-20x40 AO and a VX-2 4-12x40 AO mounted on my CZ 527 American and they worked well.

Calhoon in Montana builds after market bolt handles meant for allowing more clearance for a scope. Weaver also made a 16mm dove-tail to weaver rail, meant for the CZ 527, then you could use any rings you wanted.
