CZ 527 Varmint 204

So I shot my new to me 527 in 204 the other day. I put a CZ varmint laminate stock and Timney on it. I used to own the same gun without the mentioned stock and timeny a few years ago and it was a tack driver. Regretting selling it, I found another and added the mentioned stock and trigger. I had a Vari X IIc 4-12x with fine duplex kicking around so I mounted that on this new toy. WOW. What a fun gun to shoot. It shot the majority of my reloads well under a half inch. No real load development for it at all and she shoots. Basically, Any bullet over the powder that it likes (8208). I have of other powders to try out as well. I think I like shooting this as much as my 222. I know there's lots of CZ love out there so I just wanted to mention how great these guns are. The barrels are so darn accurate, especially with a 1-1.5lb pull Timney.

I have a CZ 527 American in .204 Ruger. Its a pleasure to carry in the field and shoot.

A agree, just a gem of a rifle.. mine did the same thing, benchmark set the bar very high. XBR was very close also.. both great powders..
Love those 40 gr v max in action..

Also have a new 527 varmint 204 with a sightron. Been sitting in the safe for way too long….just been too darn busy to get at it. Sure looking forward to getting it going soon.

The only thing to shoot around here is coyotes and that Timney wouldn't be great to hunt them with. I would love to spend a day in a prairie dog field but the closest one is a couple provinces over...
