My 527 has a 24" barrel with 1:9 twist and I want to start shooting some paper at 500 yds or longer. Any recommendations for bullets & powder as a starting place.
The various 68-69 grain BTHP bullets would be the best starting point. They are the heaviest (i.e. longest) bullets that most 1:9 barrels will consistently stabilize.
