I own a CZ 550 American in 30-06 which is an amazing gun, however recently I have encountered a serious problem. When the hair trigger is engaged, it fires on its own. Sometimes immediately and sometimes delayed, but most of the time it will fire without the rifle moving at all. I don't often use the hair trigger because its so damn sensitive and I find the trigger perfect on its own but now I'm worried that the rifle can discharge at any time whether the hair trigger is engaged or not. Has anyone heard of this happening? Fixed one?

Thanks

Back off the screw that points downwards into the trigger guard. With just a short screwdriver bit, you don't even have to take the action out of the stock.

That will adjust the pull of the regular trigger too right? I don't really want to mess with that. I haven't tinkered with the trigger at all since I bought it so I'm more concerned that there might be a safety issue now with the trigger assembly as a whole

There should be small tool that came with it. Its got a screwdriver for adjusting the trigger on one end and a hole in the middle for taking the bolt apart.

I find it refreshing that they assume that the user is going to both adjust his trigger and take his bolt apart.:)
